Charity Giveaway

Over the last 13 years we have traditionally visited our sites with Christmas gifts as a thank-you for their custom over the previous 12 month period. With the backdrop of the pandemic last year we instead took the decision to arrange a charity giveaway and the positive feedback we received from doing this was overwhelming.

Covid-19 continues to put enormous pressure on the charity sector and with this in mind we have decided to donate £2,000 split across four different charities. When running this campaign last year our clients nominated so many worthy charities, so this year we have used these nominations to help select who we donate to. Our 4 Directors have each chosen a charity (as shown below) and over the course of the last week we have been visiting these charities and hopefully helping to provide some welcome Christmas cheer to those who need it most.

Thank-you once again to all of our clients and hard-working candidates and we hope that you all enjoy the festive period.

Northamptonshire Young Carers work alongside young people who act within a caring role for family members. The charity work alongside these young people in order to give them a respite and offer support in their day to day roles.  The £500 that Tradeline have donated will be used to take 20 young carers out on a laser tag experience. This will give the young carers the opportunity to meet other young people in similar situations to themselves, help them build social confidence and give them some much needed rest bite.

Keech Hospice Care is a Bedfordshire-based charity that support families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes. As a charity they provide free, specialist care for adults and children who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Their care is not just provided at the hospice itself but in the hospital school, care or family home - wherever support is needed the most. To provide these services and continue their vital work, Keech needs to fundraise in the region of £5.7m each and every year.

Robes has operated across Southwark and Lambeth to provide shelter for people who find themselves homeless in London since 2007.  Robes also supports people with vital welfare advice, enabling them to access services and accommodation. With the support of over 30 Church venues and over 1000 volunteers, Robes continues to go from strength to strength.

Bedford Foodbank is a registered charity that has been operating in Bedford Borough for the last 10 years.  Clients are referred to them from one of their 200 referral agencies, they then attend one of the seven distribution centres where they are given a food parcel that will last three days and a hygiene pack. They are currently feeding 100’s of families and handing out over 10 tonnes of food per month, helping over 1500 more people than this time last year.
