International Women’s Day

March 8th marks International Women’s Day which is part of a week celebrating, educating and promoting awareness surrounding women.

With our business purely focussed on the Construction Industry it has historically been a male dominated industry but times are changing and with events such as International Women’s Day, this really helps to achieve this positive change.

At Tradeline we have always embraced and promoted the value of women working in this male dominated industry and the women working in our business have always been and will continue to be a key part of our team. We are proud to have key women working across all parts of our business and also numerous ladies working on site, ranging from labour, through to trades, machine drivers and Site Management.

As part of this continued drive Tradeline became members of the Women Into Construction organisation in 2021. The organisation is an independent not-for-profit organisation that promotes gender equality in construction. They provide bespoke support to women wishing to work in the construction industry, and assist contractors to recruit highly motivated, trained women, helping to reduce skills gaps and create a more gender-equal work force. The vision of the organisation is to be the construction industry’s organisation of choice for women and contractors, and to change the face of construction, normalising the position of women in the construction industry.
